All of our sessions take place outdoors in the woods and forests of Windsor and Ascot – a location as special as your dog. You can expect:
- Tranquil forest trails and golden glades
- Spaces for dogs to run off-lead with no bikes, few people, and even fewer dogs
- Natural backdrops that make every photo unique

- We will meet at a pre-arranged location prior to heading to the forest location in Windsor or Ascot
- You’ll receive preparation information (what to bring, how to get your Cocker Spaniel camera-ready)
- We’ll guide your dog through the session gently – using your favourite treats, toys, and of course breaks when needed

Why did we travel to Ascot for our Cocker Spaniel Experience?
"We want to say a huge thank you to Chris for a lovely day in Ascot where he captured some amazing photographs of Pippa, our working cocker spaniel who's eight years old.
We were hoping to get some natural photos of her that we would never be able to take ourselves – and didn't want staged studio photos of her sat looking into a camera. We drove from Harpenden to Ascot (50 miles) to meet Chris, as Ascot has some beautifully scenic areas close by. It was an easy decision as they're just the kind of woods and walks which we enjoy and that are Pippa's idea of heaven!
The result is some wonderfully unique photos (and memories) which show Pippa as she really is and which far exceeded our hopes.
Chris is such a natural (and a big softie!) with dogs that Pippa didn't realise it was a photo shoot – she thought she was out for a lovely walk with a new friend and had a fantastic time, and the outcome is many great photos of her. Chris seemingly effortlessly, captured many different photos and nuances which we don't always see or notice, so we’ve chosen to have an album made as it shows Pips doing what she does best – hunting for things! We couldn't help ourselves and also ordered a couple of larger fine art pictures for the wall.
With Chris’ knowledge of the area, he found a quiet location where he expertly captured our favourite picture – Pips at full speed flying through the air! The picture makes it look as though she’s higher than she actually is – but no one knows that! It's such a unique photo that everyone comments on it.
If you have a working cocker, we would strongly urge you to consider arranging a day out with Chris - he really is an expert in his field. Have a look at any of the other spaniels Chis has captured (as well as Pippa) and you will understand why we wholeheartedly recommend a day out in Ascot!"

All of our previous Cocker Spaniel clients have purchased one of our Italian Display Albums, either the Medium (£578) or the Large (£778). To help keep it simple with absolutely no hidden charges, we simply ask our clients to pay a reservation retainer to hold a space for your session. We then invest 100% of that reservation retainer fee back into either a Medium Display Album or a Large one during your Viewing and Ordering appointment.
We provide a digital backup for download sized to match all prints purchased at no additional cost. For example, the Medium Display Album at £578 with 21 images across the 20 pages and cover page entitles you to the medium size matched digital files for all 21 images at no additional cost!
For those paying for the Larger Album at £778, we also include a £100 voucher which can be used towards Wall Art.

About Chris & Sue Miller
Chris is crazy for Cocker Spaniels. As a dog photographer with a soft spot for spaniels (and mud!), he knows how to work with their energy, quirks, and charm to create something truly timeless.
Based in Windsor & Ascot, it's lovely to see spaniels (and their owners) travel from all over the UK for these one-of-a-kind sessions.
In July 2021, after six months of intense training, examination and certification, Chris became the UK’s first certified Dog Photography Master. He received his formal recognition from Claudio Piccoli, the Dog Photography School’s founder and Master.
In 2023, Chris was awarded his Licentiate from the Societies of Photographers, LSWPP. He also become a multi award winning photographer the same year for two of his "Dogs in Action" photographs, and continues to win awards.
In 2024, Chris and Sue were awarded "Berkshire's Best Family Run Business of the Year" from UK Business Awards. Together, they have now published two books: "Tails of Windsor and Ascot" and "Tails at 60: Celebrating the Lives of Dogs."
